Aries (♈) /ˈɛəriːz/ (meaning "ram") is the first astrological sign in the Zodiac, which spans the zodiac between the zero degree and the 29th degree of celestial longitude. According to the Tropical system of astrology, the Sun enters the sign of Aries when it reaches the northern vernal equinox, which falls on March 21 each year, and remains in this sign until around April 20. In Sidereal astrology, the sun currently transits the constellation of Aries from April 15 to May 15 (approximately). Individuals born during these dates, depending on which system of astrology they subscribe to, may be called Arians or Ariens.
